If someone should hurt you

Photobucket

 Photobucket

If someone should hurt you
And say a thing unkind,
Remember what I write you,
And keep these thoughts in mind.

For everyone who makes you cry,
There are three who make you smile.
And a smile will last a long, long time,
But a tear just a little while.

Don't let someone who hates the world
Cause you to hate it too.
Behind the clouds is a golden sun,
And a sky that's full of blue.

If someone said a thing that's cruel,
Don't let it get to you,
Your achievements are greatly numbered,
And your faults are very few.

So if a certain person
Should act a certain way,
Think of those who love you
And don't let it spoil your day.

a new day soon will dawn

Photobucket

If life seems at its lowest ebb,
Because a day's gone wrong.
Let not your heart be troubled,
For a new day soon will dawn

And we can never be quite sure,
Just what it has in store.
Since each one is so different,
Than the one just gone before

As it penetrates the darkness,
With its soft and tranquil beams.
It calms even the most restless soul,
And brings new hopes and dreams

So when a days been troubled,
And the night is dark and long.
Lift up your fallen spirits,
For a new day soon will dawn

Heart of forgiveness

Photobucket

There is a lot of darkness , disharmony and suffering in our world today, a lot of injustice, and violence. And what we must realize is that we are the reason behind all this. Indeed , the state of much of our outer world is created by the fact that many of us live very split and discombobulated inner lives;

many of us are stuck in very unhealthy conflicts, fixated in great sadness, despair and anger, all of which is continually seeping out of us and contaminating our society. I therefore believe that if we wish to move forward and create a better world, we need a lot of healing of our past. And here, a very integral part of this process of letting go of the past, lies in our ability to forgive. Indeed, we must never underestimate just how many conflicts and how much suffering still persists, because so many of us are so rigid and unyielding and not only have very little idea about how to forgive but also wholly fail to recognize the importance of it. Evidence of the importance of forgiveness lies in the fact that all spiritual traditions give it a central place.

One of the main reasons why it is not easy to is because deep wounding can bind us in a perverse way to the source of our pain, resulting in our remaining very fixated in and therefore attached to, our suffering. And essentially , what forgiveness asks of us, is that we learn to let go.

Let us imagine that something terrible will have happened to us, say, that we will have been betrayed, abused or tortured in some way, or that those we love are stolen from us. What we will tend to feel is great outrage, the sense that something very precious and sacred to us and that gives our lives meaning, will have been stolen from us. And here the outrage, together with all the suffering accompanying it, can become the new meaning to fill our void! Forgetting that we turn into what we hate, the sense of having been wronged can create in us the illusion of our own purity.

In our minds, we become all good, and those whom we feel will have hurt or betrayed us, all bad. Thus we may feel justified in giving vent to our destructive tendencies we are now allowed, in return, to rape , pillage, torture, abuse and try to destroy those we perceive as our destroyers .

To forgive them would deny us this luxury! Such scenarios can be further exacerbated by the fact that many of us can carry deep wounds that seem unconnected with anything that would appear to have happened to us personally.

Many report carrying deep cellular memories of ancestral, racial or religious violence relating to incidents they have no personal knowledge of. And many of these old enmities are surfacing powerfully at this moment because we are living at a very special time i believe a new culture of love is currently wanting to emerge and is doing its very best to break through into our awareness.

Put another way, we are all living at a time of great spiritual awakening, where much spiritual light is now emerging on our planet. And one of the effects of spiritual light is to expose or illumine for us, the dark and cobwebby areas that obscure it, not only inside each of us personally, but also within humanity collectively and within our world globally. So, given these many challenges, how then, do we forgive?

Here, the first thing to bear in mind is that situations requiring forgiveness always involve conflict and that conflict can never be solved at the level that it exists at. It can only be solved at a higher level of consciousness, at a level where oppositions begin to converge as opposed to fight. To forgive, then, whether it be ourselves, another person, another race or a nation, or whatever, what is essential is that we be in a place of being able to raise our awareness to a level higher than that in which the original perceived wounding occurred.

So long as we still remain caught in our old dramas, no resolution is possible. The bigger our egos, the harder it is to forgive and the less we will be motivated to want to do so! I maintain, then, that in order to forgive, we have to be able to open our hearts, for it is essentially only with our hearts that we can experience our true self worth.

I believe that the more open our hearts are, the more we are able to access the kind of wisdom that enables us to understand what lies behind why certain painful things will have taken place. It is only inside our hearts that we discover the wherewithal to let bygones be bygones, the humility to give up our self righteousness, the compassion and the generosity of spirit to love those who have hurt us, together with the spiritual intelligence to understand how forgiveness brings freedom. When our hearts begin to open, we only want justice and truth; everyone increasingly becomes our brother and sister and less and less is there the space to have enemies , for we are no longer interested in exacting revenge.

The more open our hearts are, therefore, the stronger we are and therefore, the greater are our possibilities for forgiveness. Indeed, inside our inner hearts exists a veritable alchemical laboratory whose fire not only allows us to transmute and burn up our grief, but also empowers us recognize the deeper purpose behind why certain things happen as they do, even if those things are painful and terrible.

I believe all these perspectives are necessary if genuine forgiveness is to take place. One might say at this stage: “It is all very well saying all this. but how can our hearts open in such circumstances?” Surely, the effect of our wounding is to keep them crushed and closed. Surely, to experience courage and strength and self esteem in such instances, is not possible! While I agree that this can sometimes be the case, it is not always so with everyone. We remember that in the act of forgiving those who may have hurt us, we not only help re-humanise them, but we also do the same for ourselves.

To forgive, then, is an important part of our own transformational process. It is also a significant form of service. And one powerful way of helping activate this space is to make a daily practice of seeking to behave in a loving and generous-spirited way towards everyone we encounter. I have met people who were so practiced at this, that one could say of them that their very presence radiated the spirit of forgiveness.

However, please remember that the cultivation of such presence cannot and does not, happen overnight and we must be patient and learn to live gradually into our forgiveness. While we will begin our journey calling out to it, searching for it, we may end it by the spirit of forgiveness drawing us ever closer into its own heart. http://www.alliwantispeace.com/

In A Dream?

Was it on the moon bathed sands
or under the weeping willow’s wings
on sheets of thousand count bliss
or in a dream, another time?

I have beheld the beauty of you
followed the pathways to your soul
gazed softly into your eyes
and shared countless tales without a word
of the earth, the sky, the animals within
we have spoken in the cries of the wolf
and heard the longings of the soul
we have spoken in the thunder of the storm
and manifest the desires of the heart
to feel
to live
to be refreshed in your crystal rivers
my spirit ascends into your endless skies
and gently rains down upon the dreamers
eyes full with the glowing moon
blend with the tears of broken hearts
penetrate deep into the aching flesh
mingle in the blood
the rivers of our intent and dreams
flow to the source
where all is made real

Was it a yesterday
or some tomorrow yet to come
I saw on moist, emerald hills
the imprints of you and I?

"THE LAYERS: (by Stanley Kunitz)

Photobucket

I have walked through many lives,
some of them my own,
and I am not who I was,
though some principle of being
abides, from which I struggle
not to stray.
When I look behind,
as I am compelled to look
before I can gather strength
to proceed on my journey,
I see the milestones dwindling
toward the horizon
and the slow fires trailing
from the abandoned camp-sites,
over which scavenger angels
wheel on heavy wings.
Oh, I have made myself a tribe
out of my true affections,
and my tribe is scattered!
How shall the heart be reconciled
to its feast of losses?
In a rising wind
the manic dust of my friends,
those who fell along the way,
bitterly stings my face.
Yet I turn, I turn,
exulting somewhat,
with my will intact to go
wherever I need to go,
and every stone on the road
precious to me.
In my darkest night,
when the moon was covered
and I roamed through wreckage,
a nimbus-clouded voice
directed me:
"Live in the layers,
not on the litter."
Though I lack the art
to decipher it,
no doubt the next chapter
in my book of transformations
is already written.
I am not done with my changes.

what is the ancient love?

Photobucket

what is the ancient love?
it is the eternal attribute of soul.. which it has forgotton..

it is said that..
at the time of creation of souls..
God gathered them and asked them"Alastu birabbikum" - Am I not your Lord? (Who is your Lord?)
by saying "qaala balaa..", they admitted that He is their God.
when they saw Him..
the Eternal Ultimate Beauty..
they fell in love for Him..
the real love for a True One!

but man forgot the love
the ancient feeling was hidden somewhere in some corner of heart of the soul
which he has forgotton
accidental wordly love may give a shock, a push or a jerk to the heart..enough to recall the ancient feeling .. the new feeling resembling the ancient one.. the ancient feeling is revived.. much matured and better than the newer feeling caused by he jerk.

so..
give it a push which may help it to move
awaken your soul..
as hindu yogis say.. awaken your kundalini shakti.. to rise up to.. meet brahma, The Lord
similarly we say, "awaken your heart".. "the delicate emotion".. "the feeling of ecstacy"
love someone..

love someone..
love anyone..
even a tree!

if you love someone..
you will love every one,

if you love everyone,
you will love the True One!

Try to love..
even tentative..

Rumi

Photobucket

In your light I learn how to love.

In your beauty, how to make poems.

You dance inside my chest,

where no one sees you,

but sometimes I do,

and that sight becomes this art.

DREAMS OF LIFE

Photobucket

My eyes were tired,
weary of the sight of the world.
I hid my eyes from the light
and the leaf of a dream silently unfurled.
I was searching full of faith,
of finding all that I wanted of life.
I came across a very old man
breathing sadness from his fife.

I told him of my search
he smiled and gave me a sigh.
He offered my sorrow and strife.
but for my questions
He gave no reply.

Quietly I went on

I came to the middle of a forest
and talked to the towering line of trees.
They could only recall the solemn times,
when I already had peace within me.

so quietly I went on....

I sat in a field of flowers,
and raised my questions to the day.
It told me of my happiness,
but how I got there, it would not say.

Then I came across you
and I remembered our life together.
In times of sadness
you carried me.
In times of peace
you were the peace within me.
In times of happiness
you walked beside me.
In my search for life
You were my life!

With love and grace

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

With love and grace, God filled a vase
With flowers of every hue,
Around it, He set
Some baby’s breath,
Cut from His garden too.

Once content, to earth He sent
His bouquet for all to view.
So that we might recall,
The beauty of it all,
He named it after you

~Life~

The concentric rings of our lives collide in the waters of life.
The new energy created feels familiar to us, yet undefined;
As natural to our hearts as their own steady beats.

We have chosen this day and this time to strengthen
the Love that we brought to this world.
We will do it together.

We will Love each other deeply, respectfully as we walk down this road of life;
An undefined wave now - moving towards the tidal wave of the future.
Together we are a force to be reckoned with!

I Ask

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

I lay down my knife
beside your gun,
And ask . . .
Is it good, that we not fight?

I give you my blanket,
In return for your coat
And ask . . .
Is it good, that we exchange?

I give you my land
In return for your progress
And ask . . .
Is it good, that we advance?

I share with you my beliefs,
In return for your beliefs,
And ask . . .
Why . . .
Is it good that we lose our identity?

THE SPIRIT OF THE SAINTS (Rumi)

There is a Water that flows down from Heaven
To cleanse the world of sin by grace Divine.
At last, its whole stock spent, its virtue gone.
Dark with pollution not its own, it speeds
Back to the Fountain of all purities;
Whence, freshly bathed, earthward it sweeps again,
Trailing a robe of glory bright and pure.

This Water is the Spirit of the Saints,
Which ever sheds, until itself is beggared,
God's balm on the sick soul; and then returns
To Him who made the purest light of Heaven.

Let your spirit walk

Quote

Let your spirit walk

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Let your spirit walk
By reaching in
Fly with your dreams
Allowing your heart to sing
Look toward the mountain top
Calling out your prayers
The answers your seeking
Come from up there
Everything becoming clear
As the sun drenched sky
Looking into the future
As bright as the stars
A life that will be
As full as the moon

The Mystery of Life

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

We walk in a world that is strange and unknown
And in the midst of the crowd we still feel alone,
We question our purpose, our part and our place
In this vast land of mystery suspended in space,
We probe and explore and try hard to explain
The tumult of thoughts that our minds entertain...
But all of our probings and complex explanations
Of man's inner feelings and fears and frustrations
Still leave us engulfed in the "mystery of life"
With all of its struggles and suffering and strife,
Unable to fathom what tomorrow will bring --
But there is one truth to which we can cling,
For while life's a mystery we can't understand
The "great giver of life" is holding our hand
And safe in His care there is no need for seeing
For "in Him we live and move and have our being."

Butterfly

Flowers of all kinds, God wanted us to see
All were different, the beauty came to be
A lovely butterfly, softly kissed my cheek,
I picked up a bloom, so very sweet.

If I could be anything I could
A lovely butterfly would make me smile
As I knew she would,
Maybe here I could find a friend
Someone like you,
When you care for me
It is like a butterfly and a flower
Both a gift brand new.

SPEAKING TRUTH

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

It is possible to speak truth in anger.
When so done, people tend to hear the anger and not the truth.

It is possible to speak truth in arrogance.
When so done, people tend to hear the arrogance
and not the truth.

It is possible to speak truth in deceitful ways.
When so done, people tend to sense the deceit
and take the truth for more deceit.

It is possible to speak truth in loving kindness.
When so done, people tend to hear the love and the truth.

Or so it seems in my experience

Always Hope For The Best

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

  Dont let go of hope.
Hope gives you the strength to keep going
when you feel like giving up.

Dont ever quit believing in yourself.
As long as you believe you can
you will have a reason for trying.

  Dont let anyone hold your happiness in their hands;
hold it in yours,
so it will always be within your reach.

  Dont measure success or failure
by material wealth,
but by how you feel;
our feelings determine
the riches of our lives

  Dont let bad moments over come you;
be patient, and they will pass

  Dont hesitate to reach out for help;
we all need it from time to time

  Dont runaway from love
but towards love,
because it is our deepest joy

Dont wait for what you want to come to you
Go after it with all that you are,
Knowing that life will meet you half way.

  Dont feel like you've lost
when plans and dreams fall short
of your hopes.

Anytime you learn something new about yourself or about life
you have progressed.

Dont do anything that takes away
from your self-respect
Feeling good about yourself
is essential to feeling good about life

Dont ever forget how to laugh
or be too proud to cry.
It is by doing both
that we live life to the fullest.

Softly on the wind...

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Have you heard my voice carried softly on the wind
it calls to you and you only, but are you willing to let me in
are your dreams filled with visions of days from times gone by
do you still see me driving away with teardrops in my eyes
or how about the scent of the perfume, that one I use to wear
does it waft enticingly throughout that sultry summer air

Can you see my eyes searching, as they look deep within your soul
and was there ever a time when my love once made you complete or whole
listen to our laughter, it is calling sweetly out your name
asking like a child to come outside to play our games
though games were never the issue of why we both went our separate ways
two souls had found each other, but as mates they could no longer stay
and how about the letters; do you read them now and again
filled with promises of love, or my fingers caressing your skin

If you ever see a butterfly and she playfully dances round
look to find her shadow, as my shape will fill the ground
for I am always with you; though you have not seen me in so very long
just remember one thing...my love still burns intensely strong
for I was made for you to love me, I will have nobody else
so when you are ready for me, then just look within yourself
as I am always waiting for you in the sunset of purple rose
where the stars are softly waiting to tend a garden of love that secretly grows?

The Person I Long To Be

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

The day light breaks again
Another day has begun.

But still no sleep has come.
My body is weary

My mind overworked.
I lie awake thinking

But what I am unsure.
I need to break free from the cycle I endure.

Everyday is the same and the nights are undistinguished.
I feel as though I am being pushed along with the tide

Unable to break free from the everyday flow.
This is not me I need to change, before time takes over

And I am unable to change.
I need to be freed from the grasp of ordinary

And become that person I have always longed for.
Express myself in every way, and conquer the dreams as I lie awake.

Then I may fall asleep and put my mind to rest.
Make changes in my life and help those in need.

I would like to touch everyone's life in a positive way
And leave my mark on society before I fade away.
